Paschal Mystery And The Yoke Of Christ

Scripture Reference: Matthew 11:25-30, 'Jesus Recommends His Yoke To All'

Throughout his life and ministry, the historical Jesus accepted, appropriated and in great humility modeled God's will and way for his life. As the Son of Man, he faithfully wore and proclaimed God's universal, human yoke of Christ-centered, spiritual mindedness (John 5:19, 30). The human benefits of putting on Jesus' yoke of Christ-centered spiritual mindedness are deliverance from slavery to sin and passing over into the freedom of God's love in the Christ of Faith and the Holy Spirit. 

Christ-centered, spiritually awake believers in all traditions, religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups experience salvation, regeneration, transformation, and surrender of spirit, heart, soul, mind, emotions and body to the Holy Trinity as Spirit, through their spiritual bodies. By faithfully following the historical Jesus, in living the Paschal Mystery, these believers will put on Jesus' yoke of Christ-centered spiritual mindedness. They will become God's channels of love, grace, truth and civility throughout our planet (John 1:4, 14, 16-18).

In and through the Christ of Faith and the Holy Spirit, these human beings are no longer slaves to sin and Satan. Through Jesus' universal yoke of conscience, alignment and incarnation, these believers in all traditions, religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups are now awakened and illuminated by the Christ of Faith, through their unique Holy Scriptures and the Holy Spirit. Have you chosen to put on the historical Jesus' yoke of universal Christ-centered, spiritual mindedness? Have you experienced the incarnate Christ of Faith as the wings of charis and agape love in your heart, soul, mind, relationships and life?

The historical Jesus' universal yoke of Christ-centered spiritual mindedness brings deliverance from slavery to sin and Satan. Jesus' yoke of conscience, alignment and the incarnation of the Christ of Faith fits humankind in all traditions, religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups, uniquely and perfectly. Jesus' yoke is easy and his burden light. Following the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery brings rest and eternal life to all who believe and put on Jesus' yoke [Matthew 11:28-30].

Matthew 10:34-39, 'The Servant And The Cross'

As fishers of men, the historical Jesus' disciples seek repentance, forgiveness of sins and proclaim kingdom living, here on earth. To regain and re-establish Christ-centered kingdom living here on earth and within all persons, Jesus declare people must take up their cross daily and follow him.  This means living the Paschal Mystery (Matthew 10:38).

Like the historical Jesus, all human beings are eternal spiritual beings, the Christ of Faith - Image and likeness of God, going through temporary, incarnate human experiences, while visibly present in our physical bodies. Unlike the historical Jesus however, most people chose to live under the dominion of the mind of the flesh. Most people have rejected the presence and mind of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith.

Jesus' life and witness demonstrates the mysterious, transforming, saving and healing work of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith, and the Holy Spirit in human lives. The historical Jesus proclaimed, taught and fully modeled humankind’s potential for Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-based kingdom living in our midst and within us (Matthew 6:9-10, Luke 17:20-21, Colossians 1:26-27). The historical Jesus is truly the way, the truth and the life. 

The Gospel of Christ demands faith, humility, seeking truth and relying on God's help.  The apostle Peter discerned in the historical Jesus, as the manifestation of the invisible Christ of Faith, the incarnate Son of God, in human flesh [Matthew 16:13-20]. In Matthew 16:22-23, Peter took Jesus aside and rebuked him, declaring that these things would never happen to the historical Jesus. Because Peter's reply was against God's will and under the dominion of the mind of the flesh, Jesus then replied, "Out of my sight Satan!

The historical Jesus and the Paschal Mystery

Matthew 28:16-20, 'Jesus' Great Commission'.

Just as the Christ of Faith dwelt in the historical Jesus and Jesus in the Christ of Faith, so is the Christ of Faith present and incarnate in all who believe and follow Jesus [Matthew 28:20, Mark 8:34, John 17:20-21]. Throughout his ministry, Jesus taught and modeled God's kingdom and kingdom living here on earth. He completed his mission of proclamation, salvation and kingdom living, by living the Paschal Mystery, here on earth, while incarnate in his physical human body.  

The historical Jesus modeled kingdom living as an achievable, supernatural human state for all mankind, who choose to believe and follow him. In kingdom living, believers follow the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery. With God’s help, the Christ of Faith reigns in the souls, hearts, minds and lives of these believers here on earth. Jesus assures us that like him, all humankind can establish and experience this kingdom living, through the Christ of Faith and power and work of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18-21). 

In the power of the Holy Spirit, believers in all religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups embrace the new life, dominated by mind of Christ, which Jesus modeled (2 Corinthians 13:14, Philippians 2:5, Colossians 1:26-27). Baptism is symbolic of the Christ of Faith's inner spiritual cleansing and purification, through truth and grace, within human consciousness, through the Holy Spirit [John 1:17]. In living the Paschal Mystery, believers pass over from bondage and slavery to sin, into the freedom of God’s love, in the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith.

This challenge to live the Paschal Mystery involves daily practicing and proclaiming the Christ-centered, Spirit-based principle and practices, which the historical Jesus taught and modeled. More Christ-centered believers, in all the world religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups are now manifesting the Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-based kingdom living which Jesus taught, revealed and modeled [Luke 4:14-19, Revelations 21:1-7]. Are you ready and willing to join these spiritually awake creative believers in all religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups, in re-establishing civility and unity, through Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-based spirituality, throughout our planet earth?

Pentecost And The Paschal Mystery

The Holy Spirit was given on the Day of Pentecost. Believers become living souls and enter into eternal life through the activity of the Holy Spirit and the Christ of Faith, through their spiritual bodies. God's gift of eternal life is spread throughout the world by the preaching of the Gospel, CIVILITY and following the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery. Eternal life is available to all people, in all religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups, who choose to follow the way that the Holy Spirit opened to eternal life, as revealed in the historical Jesus.   

The Apostle Paul in today's Epistle 1 Corinthians 12:3-13 assure readers that in the body of the risen Christ of Faith, there is one Lord, the universal indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith. Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-based gifts and spiritual fruit are given to believers for creative transformation, effective witness, kingdom living and kingdom building through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, throughout our planet earth. 

God controls the numerous workings and operations of Spiritual gifts and Spiritual fruit in the body of the risen Christ of Faith. The Christ-centered spiritual gifts include the intellectual gifts of wisdom, knowledge and faith for instruction in the body of Christ. The fruit of the Spirit are manifestations of the Christ of Faith’s character through faith and God's grace, in the believer life. 

The Holy Spirit empowers the members of the body of Christ, to express and fully manifest the nature, attributes and character of the incarnate and orbed risen Christ of Faith, in kingdom living, here on earth, as it is in heaven. Spiritual gifts and spiritual fruit are activated and empowered by the same Holy Spirit, Who facilitated the incarnation of the Christ of Faith in the historical Jesus, his conception, birth, life, ministry, passion, death, resurrection, ascension and second coming (Acts 9:1-9).

Living the Paschal Mystery, Brings Eternal Life

Reference Text: John 17:1-5, 'The historical Jesus prays for himself'

The Bible describes eternal life as immortality, immortal soul and everlasting life. In John 17:3 Jesus declared, “Now this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent”.  Jesus modeled the presence and transforming work of the incarnate Christ in human hearts, souls, minds and lives into eternal life. 

In Mark 8:27-30, when Peter identified Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ of Faith, Jesus cautioned his followers not to tell people that he was the Christ, to avoid more confusion about his identity. In John 17:6-11, Jesus places his disciples before God in prayer. When speaking from his spiritual body as a living soul, Jesus identified himself as the Son of God [John 17:3]. 

Jesus taught and modeled mankind's successful quest for eternal life through the Christ of Faith, by living the Paschal Mystery. By following the historical Jesus in rejecting the inappropriate dominion of the mind of the flesh, turning to the indwelling Christ of Faith, obeying God's will and following the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery, every Christ-centered believer in all the world religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups can know God, the Christ of Faith, the Holy Spirit and eternal life.
