Sowing Gospel Seed And Living The Paschal Mystery

Scripture Text: Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23, 'Sowing Gospel Seed'

God's eternal plan for the salvation and redemption of all mankind and establishing kingdom living here on earth, through the Christ of Faith are included in the Paschal Mystery. In today's Gospel reading Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23, the historical Jesus uses the parable of the sower to teach the mystery and central importance of mankind's heart felt thoughts, attitudes, emotions, receptivity and relationships to the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith in the Gospel of Christ. This parable of the Gospel of Christ also  unveils the mystery that only divinely prepared human hearts and spiritually receptive human minds can and will hear and respond creative and positively to the Gospel of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith. Jesus reminds us of the truth that God alone as Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, can prepare and make human hearts receptive to the Gospel of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith.

The nature and choices of human hearts and their internal responses to the hidden mystery of the indwelling Christ of Faith, in the spiritual body of every person, determine mankind's spiritual communion with God, spiritual communion with one another, civility to one another, and kingdom living throughout our planet (Colossians 1:24-29). In God's sight, mankind's internal heart responses to the Good News of God's grace, agape love and truth are more important than our spoken human words and visible human actions (1 Samuel 16:7, John 1:16-18).
In today's text, the historical Jesus used good soil to symbolize Christ-centered, spiritually minded, divinely prepared and spiritually receptive human hearts and responses to the Gospel of Christ. These Christ-centered, spiritually awake teachers, believers and hearers can be found in all traditions, religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups. With God's help, they choose to embrace the Gospel of the indwelling Christ of Faith, in the spiritual body of the historical Jesus and in the spiritual body of every person. They choose to follow the historical Jesus in sowing Gospel seed, living the Paschal Mystery, and Christ-centered kingdom living here on earth (Luke 17:20-21).

As the universal body of the indwelling Christ of Faith, they seek and find God's grace, truth and love through deeper spiritual understanding of the mystery of the historical Jesus' life, passion, death, resurrection, ascension, second coming and ultimate reign in human lives. These Christ-centered teachers, believers and listeners are not discouraged when their messages of deliverance from slavery to sin, eternal salvation and kingdom living here on earth are rejected by their hearers. They steadfastly seek spiritual knowledge and spiritual experiences of mankind's true and abiding relationship with God and each other, through the universal indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith.

Spiritually awake teachers, believers and listeners steadfastly seek to nurture, cultivate and grow the seed and virtues of the universal, indwelling Christ of Faith's agape love, grace, justice, truth and civility in all human hearts, lives and relationships. These universal Christ-centered teachers, believers and listeners are now found and can be discerned in all human traditions, religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups. They are resilient, spiritually awake and spiritually minded. They know and teach the presence of the universal Christ of Faith, forever dwelling in the spiritual body of every person, is the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-31).

Christ-centered teachers, believers and hearers are not despondent nor discouraged, when their Gospel seeds are rejected by spiritually blind, spiritually deaf, spiritually asleep, hardhearted and spiritually dead listeners. They know they are forever called by God to sow Gospel seed in the hearts, minds and lives of all persons. They steadfastly sow Gospel seed with agape love, compassion, grace, patience and truth. They seek spiritual knowledge, deeper spiritual understanding and actual spiritual experiences of mankind's true and abiding relationship with God and each other, through the universal, indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith, as revealed in and through the historical Jesus.

Spiritually awake teachers steadfastly seek to nurture, cultivate and grow the seed and virtues of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith's love, grace, justice, civility and truth in all human hearts, lives and relationships. They steadfastly follow the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery. These universal teachers, believers and hearers of the Gospel of the indwelling and incarnate Christ of Faith are resilient, Christ-centered and spiritually minded.
